Business

  • Renewable Diesel for transport, heavy machinery and data centres

Renewable diesel cuts emissions by up to 90% in transport, heavy machinery, and data centers. It is a ‘drop-in’ fuel. So, it works in existing engines and infrastructure without the need for any change. Renewable diesel therefore, offers immediate climate benefits, making it a powerful tool to reach net-zero sooner towards long term decarbonization from today.

  • Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF)

SAF is a ‘drop-in’ fuel interchangeable with conventional jet fuel not requiring any engine or airframe modifications with no degradation in performance or safety of flight. They are produced from feedstock that absorb CO2 while reducing emissions during their use such as farming waste, seed oils, and even captured carbon. They can reduce aviation’s emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional jet fuel. SAF is a key tool in achieving net-zero emissions for aviation.

  • Australian Production of sustainable liquid fuels

Australia is taking flight in sustainable liquid fuels! While currently importing most fuels, initiatives like Queensland's biofuel strategy and investments in biorefineries aim to change that. Focus is on biodiesel, renewable diesel, and SAF, targeting aviation, maritime, and heavy vehicles. Benefits include regional job creation, energy security, and emission reductions, contributing to a cleaner future for Aussie transport and beyond. Remember, it's early days, but the potential is soaring!

  • Advisory

We support our clients with their planning and execution activities by offering strategy, management consulting and technology advisory services for emissions reduction, supply chain decarbonization and energy transition to reach their net zero goals.

Benefits

  • Immediate Emission Reduction

Delivering Immediate Emission Reduction of up to 90%

  • Drop-in fuels

Sustainable fuels are a drop-in fuel interchangeable with conventional fuels. This means no engine or infrastructure modifications are required and no degradation in performance or safety.

  • Liquid Energy Security

Australia imports over 90% of its refined fuels while having access to large supplies of feedstock including waste products for sustainable fuel production. Currently, only a very small amount of these is used for domestic biofuels production. In contrast, the same feedstock can be used to produce SAF and renewable diesel domestically to reduce Australia’s exposure to external shocks.

  • No large capital expenditure, and no change to business operations

Unlike the disruptions that can occur in a business with a transition to newer forms of equipment such as EVs, drop-in fuels allow for continued, uninterrupted business operations without the need for large capital expenditure. No Downtime. No change to processes or efficiency.

  • Ulas (Ulie) Yildirim is a PhD-qualified aerospace engineer, co-founder of Fulie. He was previously with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). During his time in the RAAF, Ulie developed advanced knowledge in sustainable liquid fuels which are a critical component of the world's journey towards net-zero. He was the chief engineer of the Department of Defence's liquid fuel agency leading teams in various locations across Australia and the Middle East. Ulie was responsible in approving the Defence Force's first flight on sustainable aviation fuels in 2012, leading the commercial procurement arrangements for fuel provision for the Navy in Darwin and developing Defence’s jet fuel procurement standard incorporating alternative jet fuels. Over the years he led various projects and authored multiple reports including ‘The Australian Defence Force and its Future Energy Requirements’ as a fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in a key contribution towards decarbonisation and liquid energy security. Ulie founded Fulie to fast-track adoption of sustainable liquid fuels and commence the energy transition in Australia. Ulie is driven to execute on the policies, strategy and importantly the physical sustainable fuel needs of the military, commercial industry, and importantly, for Australia's energy security, to leave a legacy of clean air and a thriving planet for future generations. Ulie has a PhD in engineering which investigated the impact of sustainable liquid fuels on gas turbine performance.

  • Natasha brings over 25 years of experience in billion-dollar, complex, multi-stakeholder development and construction projects throughout Australia. Natasha has been responsible for navigating the complexity of deal structuring, authority approvals, opportunity identification, acquisitions and exits of large-scale property and real-estate deals, and has a proven track record inturning vision into reality that will drive the realization of Fulie’s strategy, commercial returns and scaling of the business. Natasha passion for sustainability was forged over 15years ago, at the time focusing on the built environment. With a deep love of nature and the ocean, this passion has expanded into affecting tangible change in emissions to curb climate change, and help sustain the ecosystems that support our natural environment.
